MILTON CAMP APRIL 2006

The weather this weekend was perfect for kicking off this year's camping schedule.
While the river was still frozen, and the night was still frosty,
the daytime was like a warm spring day.

We spent much of the weekend exploring the area, looking for animal signs 
and cordage material.

The waning days of winter brought out some really interesting effects in the ice.

Our campsite was in a protected valley
among apple and hawthorn trees.
